Coldwell Banker Crossroads Real Estate founded Turkeys R Us in 1997 when the local food bank, Second Harvest, ran an article in the newspaper stating that they wouldn’t have enough food to serve the community and Realtor, Sue Teunissen along with Broker, Beverly Housden took a small step that year to begin what has become the largest contributor to the Second Harvest Food Bank today. Turkeys R Us has grown in the past twelve plus years, with trecrossroadsus community support, to enable the food closets serving the needy within three communities with adequate amounts of food to ensure no one goes hungry. It’s an amazing tribute to what one small step can make.
